Lebanon – The Electricity Company of Lebanon’s workers held a sit-in in front of the company’s offices in Tripoli, demanding full time employment” saying that it is a legitimate right for them and they will not retreat from the claim until its implementation. The fate of more than 1,400 employees is still unknown, said Ahmed Talib, worker’s lawyer. Expressing his conviction that the possibility of winning the lawsuit against the Company and that there is a precedent has already occurred when the workers of the Qadisha Electricity Company won the lawsuit against the company,” stressing that they will pass through the legal process and follow-up the file with the concerned authorities all the way and that workers will continue to protest until the fulfillment of legitimate demands.
