Egypt- Workers of Tanta Flax Company, one of the subsidiaries of the Holding Company for Chemical Industries, threatened to escalate their stand against the Ministry of Public Sector by protesting if the Minister of Public Enterprise, Dr. Ashraf El Sharkawy, did not respond to their demands. Workers are demanding to be compensated to settle their situation or to carry out the judicial judgment on their return if they are not compensated. The Holding Company for Chemical Industries has already offered 65,000 pounds for each worker who wants to settle his situation and leave the company. The Holding Company for Chemical Industries has announced that they are welling to hire back the workers who were terminated from Tanta Company for oil and Flax as a step towards the implementation of the judicial judgment of their return after the company returned to the state after privatizing it. The Holding Company for Chemical Industries also formed a coordination committee with workers who retired from the early retirement system on 9 February 2016 and are still under the age of 60 or those who wish to return, however, the condition of these workers are still the same
