Qatar – Three workers died and three others were suffocated after inhaling toxic gases while they were doing maintenance work. The incident, which took place in Dahamniyeh area of Gleida municipality, as seven workers of the National Watering and Drainage Department attempted to rescue their colleague, who was stuck at the bottom of a hole six meters high, three people between the ages of 25 and 38 years died while trying to save their colleague and three others were suffocated. The same source attributed the causes of death to inhalation of toxic gases emitted from pumps used for maintenance work. The bodies were transferred to the Makor Hamo hospital in Ein al-Damali, while suffocated workers were transferred to the hospitals emergency.
