Tunisia – The General Secretary of the cable factory union Mehran al-Khalifi confirmed the closure of the factory and the laying off about 400 workers. He added that the workers carried out a protest in the headquarters in Kaff state, after they were informed that the factory will be shut and 400 workers will be laid offs despite a commitment made by the director two months ago not to shut the factory, according to the same spokesman, calling on the authorities to intervene and take responsibility.
