Lebanon: FENASOL demands minimum wage hike

Lebanon- The National Federation of Worker and Employee Trade Unions in Lebanon (FENASOL) issued a series of demands in pursuit of labour justice, in order to correct wages and raise the minimum to 1200000 LL. The federation said in a statement that once again the ruling coalition put more burdens on the poor and those with limited income by raising taxes saying that they are intending to raise the salaries which are one of the basic rights for labours in all levels”. The statement said that federation demand the government to raise the minimum wages and called on all unions to address these policies, and organize movement to oppose these actions.
