EGYPT: Delta Fertilizers workers demand the departure of the companys president due to losses

Egypt – More than a thousand workers protested at the Delta Fertilizers Company headquarters to demand the resignation of the board of directors due to the doubling of losses. The workers detained the companys president, Nabil Makkawi, in his office, demanding his departure due to the deteriorating conditions of the company; workers say that the losses reached 205 million pounds last year and 400 million this year. The workers said the companys board of directors went to Omrah and cost the company 120 million pounds.
