Bahrain: Construction firm sacks 99 Bahraini employees

Bahrain- construction firm workers announced that the firm has terminated 99 Bahraini employees.  They said that the company is facing a lot of difficulties in paying workers their salaries and dues. The Bahraini Federation of Trade Unions issued a statement confirming the dismissal of workers, regretting the situation in the company. One of the companys workers Abdul Khaliq Abdul-Hussein said the company had informed 99 Bahraini workers that they had decided to dismiss them. The company said in the termination letter that they are going through a financial crisis that led to the faltering of its existing projects in the Kingdom of Bahrain, therefore, we would like to inform you that the management of the company has decided to terminate your services pursuant to Article 110 of the Labour Law No. 36 of 2012, this notice of termination shall commence on the day 19 – 7 – 2017 and the last working day shall be 18 – 7 – 2017. If your last working day is delayed, you will be compensated for the remaining notice period.
