Egypt – Petroleum sector workers demanded Petroleum Minister Tariq Al-Mulla and the heads of companies to communicate with them to discuss their legitimate demands, which the Ministry of Petroleum promised to study. . The workers demands include the return of health insurance for workers, as well as university settlements as a large number of workers – during their work – received higher university qualifications and demand equality with their highly qualified colleagues. . The demands included raising the transportation allowance and travel allowance due to increase in petrol price and increase in the transportation costs by more than 100%, especially since most workers come from other governorates, as well as raising all grants and allowances.
