Egypt – The strike, initiated by the Mahalla workers, continues for the tenth day due to the non-implementation of their demands so far. Workers are demanding their delayed annual bonus, an increase in their share of the company’s profits, as well as other demands related to promotions and food allowance. The workers threatened to escalate and continue the strike until the implementation of their demands, which they described as lawful. It is noteworthy that the strike of Mahalla workers is not new in the history of this Egyptian industrial city, which has been famous for its labour movement for decades.
