Palestine – 18 workers have died from serious injuries in work accidents since the beginning of 2017, while 40 were injured and described as serious. The information indicates that the majority of work accidents resulted from falls off heights, falls of heavy objects on workers, falls inside holes, in addition to injuries during the paving of the streets and others. The safety and occupational safety official Dr. Sami Saadi from the city of Araba confirmed that the majority of fatal accidents occur in the construction sector. He added that through investigation we found out that most accidents happen in 20 towns, including 15 Arab towns such as Rina and Eliot and Hafet Nazareth, and in this regard we put banners at the exit of each town in order to warn workers of the seriousness of work injuries .
