Egypt –Workers of Mahalla spinning company are facing a new crisis after the Company management filed a lawsuit against 6 workers accusing them of inciting strike and violating the demonstration law. This crisis came only thirty days after thousands of Mahalla spinning company workers suspended their strike when they signed financial discounts on their wages before the holiday of Eid al-Adha. In this context, the Legal Cooperative for Promotion Labour Awareness issued a statement condemning this action. In line with the fierce attack against the workers of Mahalla and their punishment for demanding their rights by the management of the company and the holding company, 6 workers of Mahalla Spinning were prevented from entering their work in the evening On Saturday, they were surprised that the companys lawyers accused them of instigating the strike and demonstrating. The cooperative mentioned the names of the six workers: Amr Raafat Metwally Salama, Amir Jamal Abdel Moneim Hassan, Mohamed Sayed Ibrahim Mesbah, Walaa Mohammed Abdul Raouf Awad, Najwa Massad Mustafa, Karim Hossam Ismail. The cooperative also calls on the workers to stand by their colleagues, demand their return to work, and to drop the lawsuit against them. The cooperative also calls on all workers to provide all forms of support to their colleagues, so that the company do not usewhat they did to these workers to intimidate Mahalla workers and prevent them from claiming their rights.
