Mauritania – Mauritanian authorities closed today the central headquarters of the General Confederation of Mauritanian Workers. The closure was carried out by security personnel who were accompanied by the Tax Collection Division. The Secretary-General of the Confederation, Abdullah Ould Mohamad Mulaqab said that this action is a flagrant violation of international labour laws ratified by Mauritania and harassment of confederation which protects workers rights.
