Kuwait: Oil Workers Confederation Council dissolved

Kuwait _ Members and heads of oil unions collectively resigned which resulted in the dissolution of the Executive Council of Oil and Petroleum Industries Workers Confederation.  The resignations came as a result of the deliberate marginalization by the President of the Executive Council, as they say that he takes decisions without consulting the Council, in addition to interfering in the work of trade unions and their internal affairs, Failure to take workers demands seriously and ignore the regular meetings of the Board. The Change List of the National Oil Union announced its intention to convene the Extraordinary General Assembly in the Oil Union Hall to vote for no confidence in the current Council and call for a new Council.
