Morocco: About 6,000 Moroccan women workers in Spanish farms

The Moroccan government revealed that the number of Moroccan women working in Spanish farms reached between 5 and 6,000 workers during this year, working on a seasonal basis under a specific contract and with a clear agreement and content of rights.

The government said through the Minister of Labourthat his ministry received 11,000 requests this year and that the issue of working women receives full attention, starting with insurance and ensuring their work under legal conditions to enable them to obtain social security. He pointed out that the Moroccan women proved their worth in this area, which strengthens and boosters the relationship between the two countries in the adoption of Moroccan labour.
