The sectoral administrative body of secondary education decided to withhold the first semester’s grades from the administration and organize a national assembly on February 1, 2018 in front of the Ministry of Education, in addition to launching a national strike on 15 February in all elementary schools and secondary institutes.
Secondary education teachers and professors of physical education ask for the implementation of the agreement reached by the trade union with the government in October 2011, which stipulates the classification of their profession as an arduous profession. They also ask for grants and privileges, which would improve their financial and social conditions.
