PALESTINE- A 39-year-old Palestinian construction worker “Ahmed Samih Bedier” from Pharaohin Tulkarm was martyred at an Israeli Occupation crossing point named Sh’ar Ephraim.” subjected to suffocation due to a stampede of thousands of Palestinian workers employed in Israeli labor market. Bedier’s martyrdom came within context of martyrdom a number of workers and wounding several others within the policy of torture pursued by occupation authorities in dealing with workers by using firing tear gas and thunder sound grenades against them.
The company guards and Israeli soldiers systematically humiliate the Palestinian workers by imposing complex procedures in the crossing points, including rail and electronic checkpoints, using only 3 to 4 windows in checking workers’ permits and identities and magnetic cards out of 16 windows present at the crossing point.
