MOROCCO- Within frame work of continued joint and strengthened trade union action to face all challenges, including advocating for legitimate demands of working class and improve their financial, social and professional status, the three national trade union centers: Democratic Confederation of Labor (CDT), Democratic Federation of Labor (FDT), and Moroccan Workers’ Union (UMT) held a meeting to issue a joint statement, noting government’s failure to meet its obligations in organizing collective bargaining sessions concerning demands file, government’s continued unilateral actions to weaken the purchasing power of working class, and continuation of attacking freedom of association by dismissing trade union leaders.
The three national trade union centers decided during the meeting to send a reminder letter to Prime Minister urging him to expedite holding collective bargaining sessions. They also decided to render the meeting of their National Committee open in a bid to follow all developments in social file. They hold the government responsible for deterioration of social conditions of working class and called upon to a general mobilization in order to face all challenges.
