Lebanon: domestic workers trade union founding congress launched

LEBANON- The founding congress for domestic workers trade union launched today, being one of founding trade unions of the General Union of Cleaning Workers and Social Care in Lebanon.
The event took place with complete absence of Ministry of Labor, however, Minister of Labor, Sdjaan Azzi said in a press statement to the Agence France Presse (AFP), that he did not bless establishment of such a trade union based on argument that the Lebanese law is clear and does not entitle foreigner to establish a trade union.”
