MOROCCO—Moroccan Prime Minister, Abdelah Benkiran, invited the trade unions for a meeting on Wednesday to discuss reforms of the civil salaries order, a trade unions resources revealed.
The sources said that the Prime Minister did not enclose in his invitations any point regarding the increase of wages, a demand that prompted the central unions representatives to protest and boycott the celebrations of 1st May.
Ultimately, the prime ministry decided not to approve the increment of wages, which was a demand by the central union, as the increase will be a burden on the countrys general budget.
