Mauritania – workers at SNIM Co. in Zouérat is on a strike

MAURITANIA- Workers at SNIM Company in Zouérat embarked in an open strike, Friday evening  January 30, 2015 in response to SNIM’s management rejection to negotiate with their representatives, as a result; it led to work stoppage in all SNIM’s workshops and locations.
SNIM management has created a hostile and provocative atmosphere against their workers since January 28, 2015, partial work stoppage held by them in response to SNIM’s lack of respect for agreement that was concluded with representatives in May 2014.
