Oman Workers union confirms settling demands of 80 workers

OMAN— Oman General labour federation settled the dispute between the management and workers of the WJ Towell company ending the strike at the companys locations.

The move came in the presence of representatives of the Workers Union Federation of the Oman and representatives from the Ministry of Manpower.

Eighty workers from WJ Towell company went on strike at the companys locations in Sohar and Barka since Tuesday, and in Muscat on Wednesday.

They also agreed that the company shall pay the periodic premium of 5 per cent, and increase the ratio according to the annual performance evaluation of each worker, and 3 per cent for the holder of weak evaluation starting January 2016.
