Alsaad Hygienic Paper Co. Factory dismisses 18 workers

JORDAN— Alsaad Hygienic Paper Co. Factory dismissed 18 of its female workers without prior notice, contradicting with provisions of the national Labour Law.

One of the dismissed workers said the decision was made due to the drop in the factorys production as exports to some countries including Iraq have stopped.

She explained that 13 workers were also dismissed in April.

In August, the factorys administration informed another 18 workers that they are dismissed starting September and without prior notice, according to the worker who preferred to remain unnamed.
