Trade unions establish front to counter gov’t attacks

MOROCCO – Trade unions in Morocco have decided to establish a union front to counter what they considered as “fierce attack” by government againstrights and benefits of working class.

Following a coordination meeting by leaders of the three unions; namely, the Union Marocaine du Travail, Union Générale des Travailleurs du Maroc and ConfédérationDémocratique du Travail, announced that first step will be adopted is holding a gathering for lobbying in different cities of the Kingdom in 19th of April, during these gatherings, the unionists will expose what described as unpopular government policy.

The three unions agreed to organize a gathering in May 1. In addition, they agreed to form a permanent coordination committee to activate and implement the joint “revolutionary” program.
