JORDAN— More than 70 Indians who work at the Saraya Aqaba project observed work-stoppage on Saturday in protest against the delay in receiving part of their wages.
Sources said that Aqaba Labour Directorate is investigating the issue and the amount deducted from the workers salaries.
No further details were made available on the status of investigations that were supposed to be launched on Sunday.
Saraya Aqaba project comprises approximately 634,000 square metres of master planned development that will be built around a man-made lagoon adding approximately 1.5 kilometres of beachfront to the Gulf of Aqaba.
