ALGERIA- Ministry of Justice urged fiduciary officers to sign a letter of apology to Minister of Justice, al-Tayeb Louh, for the strike, which they carried out in April 2012, if they want to be reinstated.
The apology reads: “We, the suspended justice sector employees seek from the Minister of Justice to accept our apologies for actions we took during a strike in April 2012 and that cost us penalty of dismissal from work!”
The apology also reads: “We assure you – since that date – we have not made any statement nor we have staged any protest. We have not requested any trade union entity to speak on our behalf, nor authorized anyone to issue statements… Our confidence has always been vested in the executive branch to which we belong… We pin great hopes in your esteemed person for considering us with mercy and compassion and to reinstate us as we nurture our families, this dismissal has greatly affected our future and our children’s future.”
However, after an oral accountability question filed by MP Abdul Ghani Bodboz to the Minister of Justice, al-Tayeb Louh, on this issue, Louh confirmed that the issue had been solved, pointing out that “the justice sector officials procedures were in violation of law & constitution when they distributed this letter of apology.”
