EGYPT- A passing car opened fire on workers at the Industrial and Engineering Enterprises Company while they were protesting for the fifth day over salaries that have gone unpaid for six months.
Ali ZakiOkab, president of workers union at the company said, a black car opened fire on the company’s workers while they were on their way to protest, no injuries were reported among them according to Okab, who added that police failed to arrest the driver and the car has no plate.
He also called on the Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi to interfere to help families of 2300 workers who are risking homelessness because their demands are being ignored.
