Dhi-Qar Water Directorate day laborers protest delayed wages
IRAQ—Tens of day laborers at the Dhi-Qar Water Directorate continued their sit-down strike for the fourth consecutive day accusing the directorate of failure to pay their wages.
Protesting workers said to have not been paid their wages for the last 10 months.
They called on the administration to pay their delayed wages and to be hired as full-time staff rather than day laborers.
