YEMEN- Thousands of government employees in Yemen, including administrative workers in health and education sectors, have not received their wages for months. According to Yemeni media, informed sources said several employees are queuing on a daily basis in front of post offices, hoping to receive their payments.
As for the humanitarian conditions they live under, sources said residents lack access to basic services as electricity has been cut off since 10 days, and oil derivatives are not available.
“Scrambling for oil derivatives in gas stations led to injury of two persons in Rabid station near Ga’abat city,” as reported.
In addition to that, water plumbs used to water farms and projects supply houses and government buildings have stopped, while most of shops have closed down as the security situation continues to deteriorate and prisoners’ escape.
