OMAN – Weatherford Oil Company decided to reinstate a number of arbitrarily laid-off workers, following an agreement between Weatherford Trade Union/Oman and Weatherford Regional Director.
“Four workers were reinstated, in addition to three out of seven workers who were dismissed earlier, while four reached a financial settlement and received compensation and decided to go to work in other companies,” as stated by Board member of the General Federation of Oman Trade Unions (GFOTU), Mohammad Faraji.
