The Tunisian Labour Union announced work-stoppage

TUNIS—The Tunisian General Labour Union has announced a general strike across the country due to the failure of negotiations related to increasing wages.

The Union that has one million members announced at a press conference that the strikes will start on November 19, and ends in the beginning of December.

The work-stoppage, according to the Union will be organized separately in each of the country’s states.

The strikes will also have an impact on the country’s economy that witnessed a decrease in its growth.

The negotiations that failed involve workers in the private sector, as the Union has already reached an agreement with the government to increase wages of 800,000 workers in the beginning of 2016.
