Flights to be suspended in Libya on March 13

LIBYA— Flights in Libya will be stopped on March 13 if certain demands were not met, the General Union of Workers has warned, a step that would bring all Libyan airports to a standstill.

In a letter to the GNC and the Salvation Government on Wednesday, the union demanded the government to pay the outstanding salary arrears for the workers of Libyan Company for Ground Services and the National Catering Company.

It also requested an end the administrative division in the Libyan Airlines Company between Benghazi and Tripoli to enable the company to pay its financial dues to the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) and the International Air Transport Association (IATA).
