Brick factories owner protest over hike in oil prices

IRAQ— Following the closure of their factories due to the hike in oil (petrol) prices, hundreds of brick factories owner took to streets calling on the government to reduce prices that went up to 100 Iraqi Dinars from 30 Iraqi Dinars.

Protestors threatened that their protest will continue until the government responds to their demands.

One of the protestors said, the hike in oil prices led to an increase in bricks prices, noting that the price of producing 4,000 bricks has become 1 million Iraqi Dinar, while it was 650,000 Iraqi Dinars before the rise.
