JORDAN—The Criminal Investigations’ Human Trafficking Unit in Jordan has launched an investigation into the incident of the three Bangladeshi domestic helpers who jumped off a three-storey building last week.
Three Bangladeshi domestic helpers were hospitalized in Jordan after jumping off a three-storey building in Jordan.
In a statement issued, the Unit said the three women are in hospital now.
It added that due to the lack of evidences available, the case will be treated as victims of human trafficking, until investigation is completed with the owner of the recruitment office and another employee who works with him.
A statement issued by the Ministry of Labor last week said that employees of the three Bangladeshi workers sent them back to the office, and they were left to sleep in office when they tried to run away.
However, investigations showed that the recruitment office owner treated them in a “badly” and they were left in the office, which prompted them to try to run away.
