MOROCCO—The Parliament’s Social Committee passed a law that allows the employment of female adolescents as domestic helpers in Morocco, despite the rejection by human rights activists.
The law which holds the number 12.19 allows the employment of females who are 16 years old and above.
An opposition source, who spoke on condition of anonymity said, the majority of the Parliament committee voted for the endorsement of the law, without taking into consideration its impact on child labor and the risks they will subjected to due to working in houses.
