Egypt – More than three thousand workers from Pyramids for ceramics industry factory began a strike this morning in the tenth of Ramadan area, to claim financial dues and to expel the director of the company and to improve occupational health and safety conditions.
It is worth noting that strikes have been sweeping in the Tenth of Ramadan Industrial City since the beginning of this month.
Workers summarized their demands in a petition sent to the management, where they asked for a Monthly production incentives, and to increase their salaries and add the overtime and allowance within their salaries and to modify the social insurance and reconsider the last annual profit in 2015 with a minimum of 1600 pounds.
Workers also demanded establishing Investigations Office to follow on worker’s issues such as arbitrary dismissal, and accept annual leave for workers until the end of the month, and finally provide a comprehensive insurance for workers.
