Morocco- ten thousand trainee teachers decided to go out in a national march next Friday, to protest against the government for not fulfilling its promises to employ them in the private sector.
Trainee teachers who have been trained by the Ministry of National Education will gather in Mohammed V Boulevard in Rabat, on Friday, 17th June 2016, and will do iftar in front of the parliament and hold warning sit-in until Suhoor in front the Ministry of National Education headquarters.
Joseph Abbou, a member of the National Media Committee, said in a statement to kushk website The National Council for the frameworks of the government program to rehabilitate decided to run for the third national march, in order to find jobs in public sector as we are qualified to practice the profession”.
He added that the National Co-ordination is calling the government to pressure the private sector to commit to the Convention framework blaming the prime minister for not being able to pressure them to comply with the contents of the agreement.
The government, ratified in 2013 to train 10 thousand teachers based on a framework agreement with the private sector, to train teachers for a year to qualify for teaching.
Training 10,000 teachers program was approved by the government in accordance with the agreement between the Secretary of State and the Ministry of Higher Education and the Ministry of Employment and the Ministry of Economy, Finance and university presidents and managers of teacher’s high school and representatives from private sector, in order to provide the private sector with teachers but sector representatives decided not to commit to the agreement.
