Palestine – Palestinian High Court of Justice Postponed Tuesday for the second time its decision to the appeal submitted by the Palestine General Federation of Trade Unions against the Palestinian Ministry of Labor and the Palestinian Monetary Authority’s actions and decisions relating to halt all bank accounts of the associations and trade unions two months ago.
According to the decision of the court, which was held at the courthouse in Ramallah The court decided to postpone its decision till the seventh of June and give the prosecution a notice to submit its statement.
Commenting on the decision sources from the legal department at the Union said that the decision is contrary to the article 62 of the Palestinian Code of trial because the prosecutions required statement was not enclosed with its Reply within one week after the first session of the court, which took place on the nineteenth of May.
In conjunction with the meeting, dozens of trade unionists demonstrated in front of the court and raised slogans condemning the attack on trade union freedoms and interference in the administrative and financial affairs of the unions.
