Egypt – Egypts Cabinet of Ministers approved Monday a draft law pertaining to the organization of trade unions and protecting the right to organize. Which states the retention of legal trade union organizations, which was gained by law, Draft law also approves to conduct the first trade union elections within sixty days from the date of the provisions of this law. According to the law, the trade unions aim to protect the legitimate rights of its members, attend to their common interests and work to improve their employment terms and conditions. The unions also aim to achieve decentralization through participating in discussions of draft laws and regulations that affect the rights and interests of workers.
