Palestine: Israeli police arrest 41 Palestinian workers in Negev

Palestine –   Israeli police arrested 41 Palestinian workers today along with shutting down shops in the town of Shaqib al Salaam in Negev.

Israeli police spokesperson Luba Samri said in a statement that Thursday night police carried a raid and search campaign in various parts of the town Shaqib al Salaam in Negev and arrested 41 Palestinians working without permits, and arrested seven suspects who provide housing for the workers, the police also arrested employers for hiring illegal workers and refer them for investigation.

The police also shut down a shop for hiring a Palestinian without a permit.  

Police also shut down a Garage and a supermarket for not fulfilling license conditions.

The police arrested 4 suspects and another who breached conditional release. Police also issued dozens of traffic fines against drivers who violated the traffic law.
