There were several rallies where demonstrators chanted slogans denouncing corruption and the responsibility of the authorities for the delay in payment of salaries. This in return, led to their miserable living conditions, which affected their families because of the increase of prices and the government disclaiming all obligations to perform any type of services, which adds burdens of life furthermore complicated the lives of the disadvantaged classes. Demonstrators spoke of wealth and wasted oil revenues that are denied to citizens but rather go into the pockets of officials.

The conditions of workers in the public sector reached to an unprecedented level, where the collection of daily needs of food, clothing and services has become extremely difficult, making the protests continue almost daily.
