The Blue Heart campaign is a global awareness raising initiative launched by the United Nations on July 30th, to fight human trafficking and its impact on society.

The Arab Trade Union Confederation has  joined the campaign in view of the trade unions’ role in combating this type of crimes and in protecting migrants and their families from trafficking gangs. ATUC encourages the involvement of its member organizations and affiliates,  all trade union bodies, whether individuals or groups, governments, civil society and the corporate sector  to inspire action and help prevent this heinous crime.

The Blue Heart is increasingly recognized as the international symbol against human trafficking, representing the sadness of those who are trafficked while reminding us of the cold-heartedness of those who buy and sell fellow human beings.
