Number of Members: 36,000 Union of Mauritanian Workers (UTM) is a trade union organization founded in 1961 to defend workers’ rights and improve working conditions in Mauritania. The union includes several sectoral unions representing various fields of work in the country. Union of Mauritanian Workers (UTM) is one of the founding members of the Arab Trade Union Confederation.
