Governing Documents

The Arab Trade Union Confederation is an organization founded on the principles of democracy, representation, and the separation of powers. It holds its congresses regularly every four years and elects its governing bodies, which operate in accordance with its constitution, internal regulations (bylaws), and policies. Its purpose is to:

  • Define the organization’s overarching goals and vision, providing direction for all activities and decisions;
  • Clarify the organizational structure, including roles and responsibilities, to enhance coordination and cooperation among members;
  • Establish rules and procedures to ensure fairness and transparency in decision-making;
  • Safeguard members’ rights and set out mechanisms for collaboration, thereby fostering a sense of belonging and trust;
  • Promote transparency in the Confederation’s governance by clearly defining responsibilities and strengthening oversight and accountability.
