While local authorities are building a new four-metre-high fence, funded to the tune of 3.2 million euros by the British government under an agreement between London and Paris to curb the flow of migrants from the Channel, the demonstrators denounced “a scandalous wall erected in the middle of the city.”
The association Itinérance revealed that several migrants were seriously injured when they tried to climb the barbed wire fence.
