The federation’s general secretary stated that the sector’s demands include signing the amendment to increase the salaries of gas station workers in accordance with the agreement concluded in January 2022 between the government, the Tunisian General Union of Labour (UGTT) and the Tunisian General Union of Industry and Trade.
The trade union official confirmed that the negotiations with the authorities progressed and that the government parties were committed to signing the agreement on the salary increase, indicating that in the event of refusal, the trade union would be forced to launch a strike.
