The Office of Trade Union and Workers’ Services reported that an agreement was reached between the workers’ representatives and the company, which agreed to pay 18 months of profits for each worker, instead of the previously agreed 12 months, with a minimum of 6,000 pounds ($245).
The workers protested against the decision to pay only 12 months of benefits for each worker, whereas the law sets the bonus at 40 months of benefits.
The company’s general meeting announced profits of around 651.5 million pounds for the period from July 2021 to June 2022.
