The syndicate submitted a memorandum of complaint about “denying the workers from their right to have vacations and obliging them to work more than eight hours a day, not registering them in the National Social Security Fund, declaring less than the actual wage, and recruiting foreign workers without work permits, the ministry’s refusal to train the workers, and finally its failure to observe safety and health measures.”
The statement called on “the owners of bakeries to cooperate and adhere to the memorandum and implement its provisions.”
