FTDES was surprised by the silence towards the protest held on October 3 by female agricultural workers from different governorates of the country. The forum holds all ministries involved in the agricultural sector workers’ file responsible.
The forum called for an urgent plan in which each ministry would assume clear and applicable tasks in order to save women workers from the danger of truck accidents, and to implement Law No. 51 of 2019.
FTDES called for creating a strategy that will protect women workers from exploitation, violence, and discrimination. The forum stressed the need to reform the agricultural sector to protect the agricultural small businesses from closure as well as the right of its workers.
