The Libyan Red Crescent announced, in a statement last Friday, that a boat was found containing charred bodies and 15 intact bodies outside the boat. The volunteers of the Libyan Red Crescent, Sabratha, moved to the place where “all the bodies were recovered and placed in the morgue to complete the rest of the legal procedures.”
Local media revealed that the bodies identified are irregular migrants, who were shot dead in serious dispute between two smugglers over money and one of the smugglers shot the migrants and then set them on fire to burn them all.
This heinous incident aroused the condemnation of many organizations, including the United Nations Mission in Libya, which condemned the “heinous act of killing” migrants.
