The Joint Coordinating Committee between the primary and secondary education syndicates called on the Ministry of Education to review the teachers’ salaries and grants and to provide grants for contractual teachers as well. It also called for easier access to decent housing for teachers.
Threatening to call for a general strike, the education syndicates warned against ignoring the teachers’ demands.
